Pay it Forward

Okay ladies and gentlemen,

The first five people to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me. However there are some limitations.
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it is going to be poetry (probably not), clothes, paper goods, or a little invention of my own. I may bake something and mail it you . Who knows?
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. Here's the catch, if you choose to do this. You must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too. This will be fun! When you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog.

Sandy, the water dog!

Mike and Jeff were over at my house to install a cute white picket fence for my dog run.

Meanwhile Regan and Grant Wright, Andrea and Jeff's kids, were playing with Sandy. She got bored playing fetch and then was having her belly rubbed by Regan. Regan asked if Sandy has ever had puppies yet. I told her no and I don't think she will (she's fixed). Regan said oh, maybe its because she just hasn't found the right dog yet. That melted my heart. Too cute!!!
(Since I don't have children of my own I have to borrow my friends' children.)
To continue the fun I knew of another hobby of Sandy's that the three of them would love...water. Sandy is a German/Yellow Lab mix and the Lab comes out in here whenever water is around. Spraying the back patio or washing the car when she's around...not possible. Another reason for the gate. :)
Take a look!

Orthopedic Surgeon Says Nay...

Last week I saw Dr. Murata and he said my back "wings" out. He continued to tell me this is what happens to people who break their collar bone. I was off to x-ray...came back, all bones in tact. He then asked if I'd been sick recently. I told him actually this is the first year that I didn't catch that flu that everyone was passing around in Feb and March. He went on to tell me that he believes that I got a virus in my central nervous system and it attacked that area of my back...paralyzing it. Told me that there's really no other way to get rid of it than just waiting it out like a cold. He said patients usually are 100% after 2-6 weeks but since I was going into week 8 he wanted me to see someone else. He sent me on my way with a referral to a Neurologist. (Didn't even do a MRI)
Today was my apt at 9:00 am to see a Neurologist. I got there about 8:40 to fill in some paper work. About 9:35 tell called me up to the window, you know that glass one that they can slide back and forth to shut the world out from their great stories of patient gossip they exchange with one another. She told me my doctor was called in to the hospital to assist with an emergency. It's cool, someone definitely needed him more this morning than I did so I'm rescheduled for Thursday at 11:00 am...to be continued.
