The drama is revealed

I wrote a formal complaint and this was what I said...
I planned a trip to Salt Lake City and went on to this awesome site, www.kayak.com, and it listed a round trip ticket to SLC for $199, flying Untied. I've never used them before. I got an e-ticket and on the bottom it said check in is anywhere from 30-90 before departure.
I arrive at SFO airport 40 min before departure and went straight to the kiosk to check in. I enter my confirmation number and was told to see an agent. I stood in line to talk to my future enemy. I was questioned what time my flight was to leave and said it was too late to check any bags in, I had to be there 45 min to departure. I repeated back to her, you're saying because I'm 5 min late that I can't check in a bag? Yup then she called next.
I got on the "Customer Service" phone and they told me that if I wanted to check in a bag that I could fly stand by on the next flight.
I was sent to another line for a United clerk to approve the size of my bag. I wait...
I got the okay. I ran to the nearest trash can and threw out all my liquid items that were more than 3oz., from my lotions and makeup to my hair product. Thrown away!
I get back in line to be checked in.
A rep called me over and said I was too late. I said no I already got the approval that I could carry my luggage on. He said no it's too late for you. I asked what do you mean, too late for me? He then told me I can't take this flight. I proceed to tell him of my adventures and he cut me off and said if I had any problems I could grab the "Customer Service" phone and complain to them.
Once again I picked up the phone and spoke to a rep. I told her the staff was extremely rude and due to their poor communication skills of sending me back and forth I'm running even more late. She then proceeded to tell me that they won't even put my on a stand by flight. I'd have to fly out the next day on a plane that had seats available.
I asked in a cool calm manner, are you telling me that is my ONLY option? Yes was her response.
I then walked back to the trash can and had to retrieve my items from the trash. I then went to Delta (whom I love and adore!!) and they booked me on their next flight out.
Untied you should know that I was in the airport for three additional hours and told the story to five people. Who I hope will tell to others.
I have been in the customer service occupation for the past 20 years and I'm also a secret shopper, I know how to treat people and recognize good service. United is by far the worst service I've ever experienced.
I would rather pay an obscene amount of money in order to avoid traveling with United again.
Boycott United!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Hi all! I'm back...did you miss me?

There was some drama at the airport. I arrived at the check in counter kiosk 40 min before my flight left. I was told I couldn't check in because I wasn't 45 min early. I said okay that's fine, my bag is small enough I don't need to check it in. They then told me I couldn't even walk on the plane, they refused to give me a boarding pass. All their flights were booked too. To make a very long and dramatic story somewhat short I went to Delta Airlines and bought a ticket with them. It was their very last one for the last flight of the day. I had to wait in the airport for 5 long arce hours. To say the very least I hate United...I don't like using the word hate but I think it's appropriate here. Boycott United Airlines!!

I think like most places in the U.S. Salt Lake City had it's fair share of bad weather during Memorial Day weekend. I had a blast. I met Justin and I think he could say the same. But you really never know until you get an email or phone call following up on the visit. Was it just a fun weekend or I am someone he may consider to date? Vamos a ver! We shall see.

One of the days we went and got pedicures. It was Justin's first and I had fun seeing his facial reactions. While we were there we spoke a lot of Spanish just so we could talk amongst ourselves and they could feel like how the rest of us feel when they speak their language.

Saturday night I met up with Megan, Allison, Fran and Kevin. This is us at a pizza place called Firehouse and yum!! Good stuff! We all went back to Kevin's house and played Wii Mario Kart and Imagine If oh and watched Think You Can Dance. :0)

Came home and did three loads of laundry and listened to Eclipse on CD. I'm half way done. Right now I can't stand the main character Isabella "Bella" Swan. It's a real shame since I've wanted to name one of my girls Bella. We'll see how book 4 is. I may feel differently.

Yuck!

Over the weekend it was into the triple digits. We moved my things to a storage unit. I'll just say it was a warm one. I was feeling a little dizzy at times and thought it was just due to dehydration. Today, Wednesday and the high is 70's.
I'm feeling yucky too. My chest is tight, hurts to swallow and can't sleep at night. All in all, I can't breathe. I'll be visiting Dr. Patel today at 2:20. Please keep your fingers crossed that he gives me a miracle pill!
I'm leaving for UT tomorrow for four days and will by meeting Justin Wright Taylor for the first time and want to be in top form. This guy is amazing! We have A LOT in common. Here are some of the items; both served in Spain, we're both in construction, we both have a tattoo, we both drive Jeep Cherokees, both very optimistic, we have fun laughing at each other and ourselves, we both are into running and triathlons, we both love to hike/camp/nature, and the list goes on.
I'll try and take lots of photos to keep you all in the loop! :0)

Canned!

In the business we call it canned. That is what happened today with my condo. I went in and cancelled. I won't be living in my dream city, Folsom anytime soon. Melanie said I can stay with her for the next 10 months, until her husband comes back from Afghanistan, that was a relief! I'm emotional spent and haven't been sleeping very well the last week. I'm a bit dazed as well. Details to follow at later entry. Just wanted to let you all know.

Running Pics

Hi all

Okay so the pictures are in from this past Saturday's race. Notice there's only 3 fingers that are sticking up in the first one. For some strange reason that's all my body could provide at the time. See what I mean about your body doing its own thing...Oh yeah and by the way number 1110 mind your own business. It's my photo shoot :0)

I couldn't find one of me at the finish straight way so I included this one. He's cute right? After 13 miles and still that good looking, DANG GINA!!

Mass of feelings...

This morning I got my sorry a out of bed and drove 90 miles to Folsom to meet the Super at my new place for our walk-thru scheduled at 8am (per my request). The Super was an older gentlemen and you can tell he's been in the business all his life. He asked what I did, my reply, I work for Pulte Homes. Oh, what do you do for them? I commented back, I do the QA's and walk-thru's with homeowners. He said ahhh sh*%! Then he went on asking if I wanted the formal walk or if I just wanted to walk it myself. I told him let's just skim the rooms and we'll go from there. I left him with a list of items that needed to be taken care of before my COE. (hehehe)
For those that want to see where I'll be living here's their website http://madroneempireranch.com/
Floyd then called me later to tell me how he just dropped off Deuce at the SPCA in Sacramento. My heart fell...he said it was really hard. He must feel abandoned. :0(
Then just recently I got an email from Holly who's a lifesaver for fostering Sandy for a couple of months and said Sandy is still on the awake at 5:30 schedule. She said not to worry she reminded her they don't get up for another hour or so. That made me smile.
Must look for a new job. The commute and gas will destroy my car, my banking account, and my mojo. It's a must
I have a breakfast date with Geoff in Sacramento Saturday. I'm excited.
I tracked down Kurt Brown.

The run is over

Let me start out by saying I'm sore...

There are so many different stages that your mind and body go through during a long run. You take a body inventory about every 2-3 miles, you ask yourself if it's your mind or body that is carrying you currently at that very moment, you fight a lot with yourself (interesting to see who wins), you get a rush that can't be explained and only understood by other runners, you realize that this will be over soon therefore it's worth the pain of your lungs burning, and the last two miles are always the hardest for me, my body wants to shut down and your mind is taking me to the finish line.

During mile 5 there were still a crowd in front of me as well as behind. You don't hear people talking anymore, they're saving their breath. While I was running I thought to myself that we looked like a stampede. As the other ladies in front of me were trotting their pony tails were swaying back and forth like a horse's tail, mine included. I loved that feeling. I felt stronger.

I think the hardest part of the entire race was the lack of spectators. They give you a bolt of energy when you pass by them. As a friend and fellow runner of this event he would say lack of spectators keeps you honest. Meaning; it's all about what your body can do by itself.

I've been able to down load a few pictures from our RPM day/moving/Huntington Beach

Have a killer day!!

No pictures for now...

Okay, so this week was pure hell. There I said it. There was just a lot going on and it still is...I've also packed my battery charger for my camera so I have no clue where it's at and a dead battery so no pictures for now. :(
Larry did call and things are good.
My walk thru was suppose to be this past Wednesday but they no showed me. I know right?? Being that is what I do...they messed with the wrong girl.
Yesterday was a LONG day at work. Regular hours and then worked at our Rec Center Grand Opening event till 9:30. Then since the residents ate all the food, surprise surprise, we all went out to dinner after.
Tonight is the employees night at the new rec center along with the owner/foremen of the trades we use out here. It should be fun.
Still trying to get a home for Deuce. Brent and Floyd have been so awesome to do everything they can to find him a home as well as housing him for the last few days this week. Thank you so much you two!!
Half marathon tomorrow, I'm meeting Dan and Aveena at 7am. Woot woot!
Until then...have a good one all!
